MANY of my patients complain to me that their MDs pressure them to take cholesterol meds even when their numbers are only slightly out of range. Since high cholesterol is NOT a disease, I encourage them to talk to the MD and discuss the rest of their cardiovascular picture. #cholesterol

I have read a lot about cholesterol and have concluded a healthy body regulates the different types of cholesterol at the leves our bodies need. Am I off base with this?
